Music lovers have a choice between three different festivals featuring three styles of music this weekend - blues, folk or jazz.

Blues lovers should head over to the Tangerine Greenway off 49th Street between St. Petersburg and Gulfport.

Hosted by the 49th Street Business Association, Gulfport Chamber of Commerce and the cities of St. Petersburg and Gulfport, the second annual Bluesfest on the Tangerine Greenway features a variety of bands from 4 to 9:30 p.m.

Featured entertainers include: The Tom Kats (www.thetomkats.com); blues legend Sterling Magee and the Harlem Blues band (www.myspace.com/sterlingsatanmagee) and Art Harris and the Z-Tones (www.ztones.com).

Festival-goers will find plenty of food and beverage vendors available. No coolers allowed.

Prior to the festival the City of Imagination will be providing family fun with a “tree weaving”.

If folk music is more your style, then head on over to the second annual Folkfest St. Pete on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 26-27, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Central Avenue between 11th and 13 streets in St. Petersburg.

The street arts festival will feature more than 45 folk artists from Florida and the United States, a variety of folk musicians, plenty of food vendors, children’s activities and a shaded beer garden.

Bring lawn chairs and stay all day.

Jazz lovers can get a prelude of what’s to come at the 30th anniversary Clearwater Jazz Holiday at Fourth Friday on Sept. 25, 5:30 to 10 p.m. in the Cleveland Street District in downtown Clearwater.

Music will be provided by local jazz artist Jose Valentino followed by the Level 10 band.

Beer and wine will be sold as well as a variety of food from street vendor.

Bring non-perishable food items to benefit the RCS Food Bank. The Clearwater Jazz Holiday Foundation will be the benefiting charity.
