TAMPA - A Latin mega-concert at the Ford Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fairgrounds on Sunday, Sept. 25, will benefit the Hurricane Katrina relief fund.
A couple dozen bands will be performing at Latinos De LA Musica Unidos from noon to 9 p.m.
Tego Calderon, Jay-D "El Bandido", Master Joe & OG Black, Grupo Afixiao, Alex El Bizcochito, Michael Stuart, Alberto Stylee, Pedro Conga, Edgar Daniel, Jose Ernesto, Charlie Cruz, Edgar Joel, Son De Cali, Pedro Jesus, Don Dinero, Baby Boy, Baby Rasta, Sir Speedy, P. Blades, and Yavia are all scheduled to take the stage on Sunday.
The Ford Amphitheatre is donating its facility, staff and equipment for the charity benefit, and the Florida State Fair Authority is kicking in parking revenues from the event, to maximize the amount that can be raised and given to the hurricane victims.
Tickets for Latinos De LA Musica Unidos are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com and FordAmp.com. General admission standing room only tickets for the pit area are $24, and reserved seats are $14 to $24 each. All dates, acts and ticket prices are subject to change without notice. All tickets are subject to applicable taxes, and service and handling charges.
