Sounds of Soul takes the stage Oct. 4 at Seminole’s Music in the Park concert series.
SEMINOLE – Continuing the 17th annual Music in the Park concert series, Sounds of Soul will perform Friday, Oct. 4, 7 p.m., at Seminole City Park, 7464 Ridge Road.
The band will serve up a Motown tribute.
Sounds of Soul is a high-energy group boasting superior vocals and slick dance moves, all powered by pure soul. Performing for audiences across the nation since 1996, the group is made up of six seasoned entertainers who have excelled as outstanding singers, dancers and songwriters. Each member has shared the national recording spotlight driven by the power of Capital Records, Big Apple Records, and R7S Records to name but a few.
The show is a combination of Motown classics mixed with some of the greatest songs of all time. Sounds of Soul performs hits by artists such as The Temptations, The Four Tops, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, The Supremes, Lionel Richie, Tina Turner and Barry White.
The two-hour concert is the fifth of six on consecutive Friday nights at the park. Performances run 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is free to all performances. Parking, also free, is available in the park and in a larger lot west of the park between Old Oakhurst Road and the Pinellas Trail. Attendees are invited to bring chairs and blankets. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
The final performance in the series will take place Oct. 11 and will feature Rocket Man, an Elton John tribute show.
