CLEARWATER – The Peace Memorial Concert Series is set to begin with a “Jazz and More” concert on Sunday, Oct. 13, 3 p.m., at Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church, 110 S. Fort Harrison Ave. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. No tickets are needed, and seating is first come, first served. An offering will be taken, and $5 minimum is suggested. The concert features the jazz ensembles from the Tarpon Leadership Conservatory for the Arts.
With such standards as Day by Day by Mark Taylor, Corner Pocket by Count Basie, and Bags Gone by Milt Jackson, the audience will be entertained while helping these young musicians reach their goal of being the lone Florida band performing at the 2013 Macy’s Day Parade.
After the concert, there will be a light reception in the fellowship hall for a meet and greet with the musicians. Parking is available behind the church off of Pierce Street, directly east across Fort Harrison in the large county lot, in the lot north of the fellowship hall, and west in the City Hall parking lot
