TAMPA – Florida Georgia Line will perform Friday, Oct. 13, 7 p.m., at Mid Florida Credit Union Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4802 U.S. 301 N., Tampa.

Tickets start at $48. Visit www.livenation.com.

Last year, the iconic country duo played to more than one million fans during their Dig Your Roots tour, running from May through December. Now the history-making showstoppers are back on the road for the Smooth Tour 2017 which includes a stop in Tampa.

The current CMA Vocal Duo of the Year nominees are crushing genre lines by featuring Grammy Award-winning rapper Nelly and breakout country star Chris Lane on the jaw-dropping bill. For the first time in their career, they headlined three epic sold-out stadium concerts this summer with pop idols Backstreet Boys coming along for the wild ride.

Florida Georgia Line is the first country act in history to be awarded RIAA’s Diamond certification (10 million copies sold) for their hit single “Cruise.”

Under Big Machine Label Group, FGL’s musical evolution “Dig Your Roots” has delivered three consecutive No. 1 smashes: Platinum-certified lead single “H.O.L.Y.”, Platinum-certified hits “May We All” (featuring Tim McGraw) and “God, Your Mama, And Me” (featuring Backstreet Boys). Penned by Tyler Hubbard, Brian Kelley, Nicolle Galyon and Jordan Schmidt, “Smooth” is their fourth buzzworthy release now spinning on Country radio.

Since breaking out in 2012 with their iconic “Cruise,” FGL has marked their place as one of the elite acts in country music, earning prestigious honors from the AMA, ACM Awards, CMA Awards, Billboard Music Awards and CMT Music Awards. Their previous releases – including the double Platinum debut “Here’s to the Good Times” and Platinum “Anything Goes” – have attributed to sales nearing 30 million tracks, over 4.2 million albums worldwide and RIAA Diamond-certification for “Cruise,” solidifying the hit as the only country single to ever reach sales of over 10 million copies. Their massive debut also overtook the record for longest No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

According to a biography provided by Sweet Talk Publicity, since forming in 2010, Florida Georgia Line has taken the songwriter skills honed from their early days in Nashville and shredded them to bits, all while simultaneously using the deep roots of country music to build something new and totally thrilling. From the most raucous party moments to unexpected self-reflective odes, FGL is an unstoppable powerhouse only looking to answer to themselves, and, perhaps most importantly, their fans.

“We’ve always been comfortable doing something that may or may not be accepted,” said Brian Kelley, the Florida side of the duo.

“Anything goes,” said the Georgia half of FGL, Tyler Hubbard. “It says it all. No boundaries, no genre, no rules.”

And ever since the two met while attending Belmont University, they’ve been following that credo – going from songwriting workrooms with nothing more than an acoustic guitar or two, to a headlining tour, crisscrossing the nation and collecting awards.

“We’ve built this from the ground up,” says Kelley. “That’s something we never take for granted. Tyler and I are hands on with it all, from set list to email. Everything we do, we have put the FGL stamp on it. This is our love and our passion. We run it as a business … and a party.”
