Joseph Schwartz' stunning career began with his first solo recital at age 6. Schwartz later seized the attention of the music world by winning the prestigious Concert Artists Guild and Naumburg competitions, followed by a New York debut recital.
Esteemed New York Times' critic Harold C. Schoenberg hailed his "successful fusion of whiz-bang technique and musicianship" and called him "one of the finest young pianists around."
Joseph Schwartz has soloed with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and toured the United States, Canada, Armenia, Germany, and Czechoslovakia. He has taught at the Juilliard School and the Oberlin Conservatory, where he chaired the piano department for many years. He is known world-wide for his masterclasses and concerts.
