Kingston Trio brings tradition to LCC
Article published on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007
LARGO – The Grammy-award winning Kingston Trio will bring their rich tradition of American Folk Music to the Largo Cultural Center on Thursday, Dec. 20, at 7:30 p.m.

Almost 50 years after “Tom Dooley” shot to the top of the charts, the trio continues the Kingston legacy of great folk music with hits like “Where Have All the Flowers Gone” and “Goodnight Irene.” Current members are George Grove, who joined the group in 1976, Bill Zorn, a former member who rejoined 2004, and Rick Dougherty, who joined in 200.

Their trademark three-part harmony and clean, crisp sound keep them touring 30 weeks out of the year.

Tickets are $47 VIP, $44 advance and $47 day of show.

The Largo Cultural Center is at 105 Central Park Drive. Call 587-6793 or visit www.largoarts.com.
