Lucid Druid plays free Saturday, Dec. 15, 7:30 p.m. at the Dunedin House of Beer.
DUNEDIN - See Lucid Druid in one of their rare performances at the Dunedin House of Beer. The Celtic-World Fusion Jam band plays in Dunedin only a few times a year and will be at the House of Beer on Saturday, Dec. 15, 7:30 p.m. No cover charge.
The multi-faceted sounds of Lucid Druid can best be described as "Eclectic Celtic-Fusion," integrating bagpipes, guitar and double bass with a variety of traditional African and Scottish drums, creating a sound that is energetic, ground breaking and truly unique. Unusual arrangements and exploratory jams make this music truly un-comparable to anything else being produced today in the genre of Celtic Fusion music.
Lucid Druid is Adam Quinn on bagpipes, clarinet, shuttle pipes, piano, didgeridoo and Sebastian Deledda on guitars. Joe Porter plays upright bass and electric bass. Steven Turner adds djembes, ashikos, talking-drum, didgeridoo and Doug White completes the sound on drum set, Scottish snare and roto-tams.
The Dunedin House of Beer is located at 927 Broadway in Downtown Dunedin. They feature a huge selection of the finest craft beers from all over the world, with 40 taps flowing and dozens more styles available by the bottle.
