The band's rich history goes back to 1969 in the Southern Ohio area where a group of young musicians initially played cover tunes at local bars. In 1972, original members Craig Fuller, George Powell, Tom McGail and Mike Reilly released the album, Bustin' Out, a huge hit at college radio that included the single, Amie, which has endured as a classic, being played on the radio still today.
Their biggest success came with Let Me Love You Tonight (from Firin’ Up), which reached No. 7 on the Pop Charts and No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary Charts. Visit www.pureprairieleague.com.
