For 32 years, the Bay Area Renaissance Festival has been entertaining residents and guests from both sides of Tampa Bay. In 2004, the festival was moved to Tampa to its new location next to the Museum of Science and Industry.
The theme weekends are wrapped around a variety of events including daily human chess match battles and a royal parade.
Visitors to the shire of Fittleworth will find a number of national and local entertainment acts, including comedians, musicians, jugglers, stage combatants and jousters. Artisans will offer goods made from glass, metal, leather, stone, pottery, fabric and wood.
Organizers say one of the most popular attractions is the food at the faire, which is priced at $5 and under. The menu includes turkey legs, fish and chips, chicken kabobs and cheesecake on a stick, plus vendors selling sandwiches, pork chops on a stick, kettle corn, roasted almonds and desserts such as strawberry shortcake and homemade ice cream. Drinks include adult beverages, soft drinks and coffee.

The Queen's Tea, which takes place each afternoon, is a private party featuring a three-course afternoon tea service and entertainment. The Royal Smoker, presented in the early evening, is for adults only and features snacks, cigars, libations and entertainment delights including belly dancing, limericks, comedy and music.
