The Armed Forces History Museum will host the second annual Classic Car Show on Saturday, March 15.
LARGO – Tickets are on sale for two events at the Armed Forces History Museum in March: War Stories and Free Beer on Thursday, March 6 and the second annual Classic Car Show on Saturday, March 15.
The museum will be the hosting venue for GORUCK’s War Stories and Free Beer in the museum’s Officer Club Thursday, March 6, 7 to 9 p.m. The cost is a $10 donation; space is limited.
GORUCK, a company that makes military-grade gear, has sponsored these presentations all over the country in an effort to give veterans the chance to share their wartime experience. The presentation of these personal stories is intended to bridge the gap between the military and the audience.
One of the guest speakers for the event will be Major Caesar Civitella, who served in World War II with the Office of Strategic Services, the predecessor to the CIA. He was one of the first to be recruited for the Army’s newly formed Special Forces. Later, Civitella worked for the CIA and was awarded the Intelligence Medal of Merit.
His talk and presentation will be followed by a question and answer session. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Armed Forces History Museum as well as Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America. Tickets may be purchased online at www.goruck.com.
