INDIAN ROCKS BEACH – COTI School’s sixth annual Greenfest is Saturday, March 16, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 24th Avenue and First Street, two blocks east of Gulf Boulevard in the field between COTI Community Christian School and Church of the Isles.
Greenfest features live music by Toni Wylie and the Islands, food from local restaurants, draft beer and wine sponsored by Crabby Bill’s Seafood, a “green” marketplace and plenty of activities for kids of all ages including a bounce house, playground, arts and crafts, and dancing.
Local nonprofit groups including the Surfrider Foundation and Pinellas County Extension, will answer questions and provide information about how to get involved. Raffle prizes include a weekend getaway sponsored by Plumlee Gulf Beach Realty. Festival attendees can shop for local, organic and environmentally friendly products, meet like-minded individuals and support their local community.
“We created this event six years ago as a grassroots fundraiser for the school that would educate and support all things eco-friendly and local. It has grown into a community supported festival for all ages,” Christy Ward, event coordinator, said in a press release.
