TREASURE ISLAND – The Gulf Beaches Rotary Club in partnership with City of Treasure Island and The Edwards Family Foundation hosts the Greatest Show on Surf, Treasure Island Spring Carnival, Thursday through Sunday, March 13-16, at Treasure Island Community Center and Park located at Gulf Boulevard and 106th Avenue.
Admission is free. The proceeds from the event will benefit local charities and other nonprofit organizations.
Hours are Thursday, 3 to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, noon to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 8 p.m.
The four-day event will include a collection of carnival rides provided by Arnold Amusements, live entertainment provided by The Edwards Family Foundation and food and craft vendors.
Wristands good for rides all day are $20 per day. Wristbands may be purchased in advance for $17 at the Treasure Island Recreation Department, located inside city hall at 120 108th Ave.
The entertainment lineup goes like this:
• Thursday, March 13, 6 to 6:50 p.m., China Grove (Doobie Brothers tribute group; 7:10 to 8 p.m., Supernatural (Santana tribute).
• Friday, March 14; 6 to 7 p.m., Sound Parlor; 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., Lounge Cat; 9 to 10 p.m., Come Back Alice.
• Saturday, March 15t, 5 to 6 p.m., Cornfused; 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Betty Fox Band; and 8 to 9:30 p.m., Tom Gribbin and the Saltwater Band.
• Sunday, March 16, 3 to 4 p.m., Super Stars; 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., Apple Butter Express; 6 to 7 p.m., Hip Abduction.
Event parking is available for $15 at TI Gulf Front Park, 10400 Gulf Blvd.; Allied Specialty Insurance (Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday only) 10451 Gulf Blvd.; and the empty lot across from the Rally gas station, 10800 Gulf Blvd.
