INDIAN ROCKS BEACH – The Beauty and the Beach Festival, featuring food, art and entertainment, will be held Saturday, April 5, on the beach at 18th Avenue and in Kolb Park.
The schedule follows:
7:30 to 11 a.m. – The Rotary Club of IRB’s pancake breakfast at the Calvary Episcopal Church’s Parish Hall (south end of the church building), 1615 First St. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the door or by contacting Rotarian David Kline at 418-1673 any time.
The all-you-can-eat breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 11 a.m. and will include pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee.
Proceeds from the pancake breakfast will be donated to support the Beach Community Food Pantry. The Rotary Club of Indian Rocks Beach has been a long time major supporter of the pantry.
Monetary donations also are gladly accepted.
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Arts and craft show. Chalk walk, Plein Air Artists. Kolb Park.
11 a.m. – Bands on the Beach, 18th Avenue. Jimmy Suvoy, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sweet Spot Band, 3 to 7 p.m.
11 a.m. – Little Miss Beauty & the Beach registration, limited to 10 participants, from 11 a.m. until full.
11 a.m. – Sand Castle contest registration, limited to 10 participants, from 11 a.m. until full.
Other activities include kite flying, food, beer, soda and T-shirts.
