INDIAN ROCKS BEACH – The Indian Rocks Beach Homeowners Association presents the Biggest Beach Party Ever on Saturday, April 26, 4-10 p.m.
The event, sponsored by Century 21 Beggins and Paramount Title, will be held on the beach just behind the Indian Rocks Beach County Park, 1700 Gulf Blvd. Admission is free.
Food can be purchased from local vendors: Crabby Bill’s, Pajano’s, Red Lion Pub, Slyce Pizza Bar, Sombra Coffee and Brain Freeze Treats Wine, sponsored by 18 on the Rocks, is also available for purchase as well as beer, courtesy of Crabby Bill’s.
Live music, with the support of Discount Loans.com, features three local bands: Southern Jam, 4-5 p.m., and El Tree-Oh with special guest harmonica player ‘Awesome Dawson,’ Chris Dawson from Chicago, 5-6 p.m., will warm up for headliner The Surfin’ Raccoon, 6-10 p.m.
“Our volunteers work hard so this great family event lives up to its name and gets bigger and better year after year,” Vice President Phil Wrobel said, in a press release.
The first Biggest Beach Party Ever was held in 2000 and was run, at that time, by various other civic groups until the Indian Rocks Beach Homeowners Association, a nonprofit community organization, took it over in 2007.
“The sight of our neighbors relaxing on the beach, partying to the music, oooing and ahhhing at the sunset and eating IRB’s best food makes all the months of preparation well worth it,” said Beach Party Committee Chairman Dave Laramee.
Proceeds from the Homeowners’ five major annual events go back into the community to support local projects and causes. More information available at IRBhome.com.
