The Rotary Club of Indian Rocks Beach members prepare for Art and Ale.
LARGO – The Rotary Club of IRB presents its second annual Art and Ale, sponsored by BarProducts.com and the Pinellas Education Foundation, Saturday, May 10, 6 to 10 p.m., at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 11220 Oakhurst Road, Largo.
Being auctioned are more than 150 original 5-inch by 7-inch works of art that have been donated by local area artists, including Beach Art Center, Dunedin Fine Arts Center, Pinellas Park Art Society, University of Tampa Department of Art, FSU Department of Art and others.
This year’s featured artist, Pamela Miles, will be on hand to display, discuss and sell her award-winning art.
The art will be offered as a dollar auction. To view the artwork, visit www.artandale.org. The auction portion of the event will close at 7:15 p.m. The remainder of the evening will allow everyone to socialize and gloat over his or her winnings.
The evening also will feature craft beer, wine, food and live entertainment.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance from any Rotarian or at the door. Advance ticket purchases will qualify for a special, secondary art auction.
All event proceeds will benefit the John J. Todia, III Scholarship Fund, established to recognize and honor Todia’s work, dedication and spirit. Todia was a past president of the Rotary Club of Indian Rocks Beach and was instrumental in establishing programs to support Art and Music in local schools.
