Article published on Thursday, May 15, 2008 |
TAMPA – In celebration of its 20th anniversary Lowry Park Zoo is offering $5 admission on Sunday, May 18.
The one-day $5 admission pass is good from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on May 18, courtesy of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Parking at the Zoo is free, while spaces last.
As a thank you to the community it serves and to ensure the Tampa Zoo remains accessible to the area’s diverse population, the Zoo offers admission for $5 four times a year (remaining 2008 $5 days are scheduled for Sunday, July 20 and Sept. 7).
Guests can visit more than 2,000 animals and learn about endangered wildlife for just $5 per person, ages three and up (ages two and under are always free).
Can’t make it this Sunday but still want to save some green? The zoo’s year-long anniversary celebration is marked on the 20th day of most months with discounted admission and special offers on May 20, June 20, Aug. 20, Sept. 20, Oct. 20 and Nov. 20.
On anniversary recognition days, admission tickets will be “2 for $20” (ages three and up, two and under are always free) with $2 specials in food, gift and rides.
