Summer Safari Night coming to Lowry Park Zoo
TAMPA - Lowry Park Zoo stays open late with free unlimited rides after 5 p.m. during Summer Safari Night on Friday, June 13, 5 to 8:30 p.m.

Enjoy a preview of the new Gator Falls water flume ride along with special animal encounters, entertainment and food and drink.
Safari Nights is included in zoo admission prices and is free for Zoo Pass holders.
Be one of the first to hop in a log and experience the new Gator Falls water flume ride within the Lykes Florida Wildlife Center on Saturday, June 14. The ride opens at 9:30 a.m.
Float down the “river” and explore native Florida with a 30-foot drop over a pair of white “albino” alligators.
In honor of Father’s Day, dads receive free admission all weekend (Saturday and Sunday) with the purchase of a full-priced admission ticket for a child. Child's ticket must be purchased on June 14 or 15 only. Offer not combinable with other discounts.
Additional Summer Safari Nights are scheduled on June 20 and 27; July 11 and July 25. $5 Night is July 20.
Celebrating its 20th year in 2008, Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo features more than 2,000 animals on 56 acres of natural habitats in seven main exhibit areas: Asian Gardens, Primate World, Manatee and Aquatic Center, Florida Wildlife Center, Free-Flight Aviaries, Wallaroo Station children’s zoo and Safari Africa. Also at the zoo: water play areas, rides, educational shows and restaurants. The zoo is located at 1101 W. Sligh Ave. in Tampa, one mile west of I-275 (exit 48). Hours of operation are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The zoo is a nonsmoking facility with smoking allowed only in limited designated areas as marked by visitor information signs.
Regular admission prices are: adult - $18.95, seniors (60+) - $17.95, children ages 3-11 - $14.50, and children 2 and under - free. Parking is free.
