CLEARWATER - On Friday, Aug. 7, the Dunedin Blue Jays will host Family Resources Night at the Dunedin Stadium as the Dunedin Blue Jays play the Clearwater Threshers.

All tickets purchased prior to the game day will return a donation of $3 per ticket to benefit the local SafePlace2B shelter in Clearwater. In addition, on game night there will be a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle and a fast pitch game in which attendees can participate. One lucky fan will get to throw out the first pitch.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and the game starts at 7:05 p.m. The stadium is located at 373 Douglas Ave. in Dunedin.

To purchase tickets, call Kelly Reiff, residential supervisor at 727-298-2615. Tickets can also be pre-purchased at the stadium box office, 727-733-9302, and held at will call. Please specify that the tickets are to support Family Resources. Only tickets purchased prior to the game night can be used to support the charity.

Keeping our community safe is something that Family Resources has been doing for over 39 years. Through programs such as Truancy Intervention, short-term emergency shelters named SafePlace2B, Family Counseling and a myriad of other programs designed to support children and families through crisis situations, Family Resources has touched over 56,000 lives last year alone.

Family Resources Inc. is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to serving the children, youth and families in Pinellas County since 1970 and Manatee County since 1992.

Accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services since 1996, Family Resources is recognized as the agency to turn to in the event of a family relationship crisis. Programs are designed to encourage the personal development of children and youth while working to strengthen and support healthy relationships among family members. Safe shelter, counseling, education, outreach, and appropriate referral and follow-up services are delivered in an atmosphere of caring, giving and acceptance. Family Resources’ mission is to strengthen families and build better communities by providing prevention, support and counseling services to children, teens and families.
