Louis C.K. is one of several of the world’s best comedians appearing at the 2014 Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival on Friday, Aug. 8, beginning at 5 p.m. at Tampa’s MidFlorida Credit Union.
TAMPA - Live Nation and Funny or Die recently announced the return of the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival on Friday, Aug. 8, beginning at 5 p.m. at Tampa’s MidFlorida Credit Union.
Billed as the world’s biggest comedy tour, the second annual event features performances by some of the world’s greatest comedians, including Aziz Ansari, Brent Morin, Chris Hardwick, DJ Trauma, Hannibal Buress, Jeff Ross, Louis C.K., Marc Maron and Reggie Watts with a second stage hosted by Brody Stevens and more.
Like last year, Oddball 2014 will include two stages, the return of the Cut Throat Freak Show, a roaming troupe of misfit performers, tasty treats, libations and more, for a full afternoon and evening of fun and entertainment.
“With the Oddball Festival 2014, we are thrilled to expand upon last year’s successful tour by offering fans the greatest cast of comedians ever assembled for an epic night of entertainment under the stars,” said Geof Wills, president of Live Nation Comedy.
“We are so excited to bring back the Oddball Festival featuring the biggest names in comedy,” said Dick Glover, president and CEO of Funny or Die. “With the midway attractions, the Cut Throat Freak Show, and incredible line-up, it’s a day you don’t want to miss.”
Last year’s inaugural Oddball Comedy Festival encompassed 15 dates and was the largest outdoor comedy festival ever produced by Live Nation. Anchored by the return of Dave Chappelle to the comedy stage and New Zealand duo Flight of the Conchords, Oddball 2013 garnered intense media coverage for the duration of the tour and was a critical and commercial success.
