Bella Vino to host Dog Days wine tasting event

BELLEAIR BLUFFS – The Dog Days of Summer wine tasting and bottle signing event will be Thursday, Aug. 21, 5 to 6:15 p.m. and 6:15 to 7:30 p.m., at Bella Vino Wine and Cheese Market, Plaza 100, 100 Indian Rocks Road N.
Brian and Cheryl Franzese of Bella Vino organized the event to benefit the SPCA Tampa Bay. Chris Lynch of Mutt Lynch Winery, Sonoma, Calif., will be sharing the story of Mutt Lynch Winery as well as signing bottles. Lynch also will donate 10 percent of all Mutt Lynch Wine sales during the event to the SPCA.
Three wines will be sampled with “dog-loving” names such as Unleashed Chardonnay, Portrait of a Mutt and Merlot over and play dead. E&E Stakeout Restaurants will be cooking up some small sized bites to sample along with some artisan cheeses from Bella Vino’s cheese menu. Fluffy Puppies of Clearwater will cook up some doggie treats with sales proceeds benefiting the SPCA as well.
Raffle tickets are available for prizes and gift certificates, including a three-day, two-night hotel stay donated by the Bay Star Hotel Group. Raffle participants need not be present to win.
