ST. PETERSBURG - The Studio@620 presents the third performance of the Project GenYes! series, “Foreign/Familiar Cities” by choreographer Erin Tracy, on Aug. 23-24.
Show times are 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, with a matinee at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $15, $10 for students and seniors.
“Foreign / Familiar Cities” is a hybrid of dance theatre and film based on the novel “Invisible Cities” by Italo Calvino. Live dance integrates seamlessly with dance film shot on location in iconic settings around Tampa Bay and in exotic environments across the globe.
Tampa Bay Food Truck Rally will also be featured at the event, offering cuisine from some of the foreign and familiar locations seen in the film.
“Foreign / Familiar Cities” features performances from local circus and dance notable Kurt Krynski and Spec Performance’s Erin N Tracy. The piece also includes original music by New York composer Matt roi Berger.

Project GenYes! is an artist accelerator program focusing on young visual artists, dancers, actors, and musicians wherein they create a work from concept to performance.
The series of GenYes! events reflect the culmination of months of work. Additional upcoming GenYes! preformances include works by Alex Jones and Teijay Williams in October and Mark Feinman in November.
