GULFPORT - Gecko season in Gulfport is not over yet. The Fifth Annual Gecko Pub Crawl is the final event this year in a trio of events celebrating Gulfport’s favorite reptile, following on the heels of the Gecko Ball and Gecko Fest.
The Pub Crawl is Saturday, Sept. 22, beginning 3 p.m. For one $25 ticket, pub crawlers will be able to enjoy one beverage (or food item) at each of 11 in the Gulfport Waterfront District.
Tickets are available in advance at these Gulfport businesses: Gulfport on the Rocks. 5413 Shore Blvd.; Country Harvest Craft Studio, 3125 Beach Blvd.; and T & Me Tea Co., 2908 ½ Beach Blvd. Admission includes one free Gecko Fest T-shirt while supplies last.
Participating venues this year are: Cousin’s Pizzeria, Gulfport on the Rocks, La Cote Basque Winehouse, Neptune Grill, O’Maddy’s, Peg’s Cantina, Peninsula Inn, T & Me Tea Co., Tangelo’s Grille, Village Pub, Yummy’s Casual Café. Offerings vary at each venue and no substitutions are permitted. Some restaurants request pub crawlers to visit prior to 6:30 p.m.
The Gecko Pub Crawl, the Gecko Ball and Gecko Fest are all sponsored by the Gulfport Merchants Association.A portion of proceeds from all events will benefit the creation and installation of additional public art projects in the Gulfport Waterfront District.
