INDIAN ROCKS BEACH – The Indian Rocks Beach Homeowners Association will be hosting their First Scavenger Hunt Bar Crawl, Saturday, Oct. 5 , 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Registration will be held at Kolb Park on Bay Pines Boulevard and 15th Avenue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The end of the hunt party will be held at Crabby Bill’s Loading Dock where prizes will be awarded at 8 p.m.
“The object of the day is to answer as many clues as you can before 7 p.m. Players will register separately, but should work as part of a team. For each correct answer, your team will receive a point. The more stops you make, the more points you can get. The team with the most correct answers wins,” a press release from the Indian Rocks Beach Homeowners Association said.
Registrants will receive a wristband, which is needed to participate and to receive the food and drink specials. There will be cash prizes for the three teams with the most points.
The prize for first place is $300.
There are a number of IRB locations to visit during the hunt, including The Red Lion Pub, Sandbar, P.J.’s Oyster Bar, Jimmy Guana’s, Cuso’s Cantina, Tapas Garden, Keegan’s Seafood Grill, Slyce Pizza Bar, Crabby‚s Loading Dock, JD‚s Restaurant and Lounge, Century21 Beggins, Pajanos Pizza, Tropical Ice Cream, Jake’s Cantina, Island Surf Shop, Indian Rocks Beach’s Nature Preserve, Beach Welcome Center, Pinky’s Ice Cream and Candy Shop and RAD Bikes.
Event T-shirts in men’s and women’s sizes will be available for $10 each. The cost to participate is $5 per person in advance, $15 with a T-shirt or $10 the day of the event, $20 with a T-shirt, if any are still available. Advance shirt sales end Sunday, Sept. 28. All participants will receive a homeowners Koozie.
Registration is available online or registration forms can be obtained at www.IRBhome.com. Early registration with no shirt closes Thursday, Oct. 3. All Proceeds benefit the Indian Rocks Beach Homeowners Associations many community projects.
