INDIAN ROCKS BEACH – The Indian Rocks Beach Homeowners Association will host its Fifth Annual Poker Run Bar Crawl, Saturday, Oct. 6, noon to 8 p.m., sponsored by Plumlee Beach Realty.
On the day of the event, pick up your registration packet from noon to 2 p.m. at City Hall, 1507 Bay Palm Blvd.
The cost to participate is $5 per person in advance and $10 the day of the event. You may register online or download registration forms on www.IRBhome.com. The first 500 participants will receive a Homeowners Koozie along with their registration card. We encourage everyone to register in advance. Early registration closes Thursday, Oct. 4
Visit participating bars and restaurants before 8 p.m. and make a purchase, which does not have to include alcohol. Your registration form will be signed and you will receive a playing card. The limit is one card per person per location.
Bring your best five-card poker hand to the Crabby Bill’s, Loading Dock after party for a chance to win prizes for the top and worst hands. You must be present to win.
Twelve IRB locations will participate, including Slyce Pizza Bar, Los Mexicano’s, Red Lion, Coasters Bar & Grille, P.J.’s Oyster Bar, Jimmy Guana's, Cuso’s Club & Cantina, JD's Restaurant & Lounge, Tapas Garden and Keegan’s Seafood Grill, On The Rocks and the Loading Dock. Each will be offering different drink and food specials.
You don’t have to visit them all; you can choose which ones you want to go to, but you do need five to make your poker hand. Participants are encouraged not to drive. Please take the trolley or since these are all in IRB, walk the route.
This year, we have added a raffle for a chance to win a $250 gift certificate toward a bicycle from IRB Cycles. Raffle tickets are on sale now for $2 each or 3 for $5 at our happy hours or at IRB Cycles, 1401 Gulf Blvd. They also will be available in the City Hall auditorium when you pick up your registration packet. The drawing will be held during the after party at Crabby Bill's Loading Dock. You do not need to be present to win.
