Latest information: Florida WingFest 2005 at Town Square Plaza Park in Pinellas Park has been postponed until Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 19 and 20. All other details remain the same.

PINELLAS PARK - The first-ever Florida Wingfest is set for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 22 and 23, at the Town Square and England Brothers Bandshell, 5010 81st Ave. N.
Wingfest hours are noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Bring the whole family and enjoy the best chicken wings the bay area has to offer. There will be plenty of fun for the kids in the lil' hatchlings zone, and music from reggae to country performed by top bay area talent.
Top restaurants will compete for the best of the bay in several categories including a "people choice" award. Stroll through the arts and crafts displays for unique one of a kind items.
Other activities will include a wing eating contest, classic car show, VIP motorcycle parking, race car display, midway games and more.
The music schedule is as follows.
Caribbean Cowboy - noon to 3 p.m.
Stormbringer - 5 to 8 p.m.
Jahfari Reggae Band - noon to 3 p.m.
The New Tropics - 3 to 6 p.m.
The wings competition is open to commercial vendors only and is free to all registered exhibitors of the festival. Exhibitors do not have to enter the cook-off. An award will be given for most original booth.
All wings will be sold at a rate of two for one dollar, exhibitor keeps 100 percent of profits. Estimated attendance to this event is 7,000. Exhibitors may sell celery, dipping sauce and fries at their own discretionary rate.
Exhibition space is free for one 10x10 space. Additional space costs $150 per 10x10, sold on a first come first served basis. Call 399-2812 or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Wings will be sold for 50 cents each. Admission is $5 for adults; children under 12 and active military personnel will be admitted free.
