LARGO - The Pinellas County Historical Society's 28th Annual Country Jubilee is Saturday, Oct. 22, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Heritage Village, 11909 125th St. N.

The annual arts and crafts festival will include country crafts, wind chimes, ceramics, holiday decorations, birdhouses, hand-wired jewelry, handspun and woven items, wooden objects and computer art.

According to promoters, there's something for everyone at this arts and crafts festival.

The annual fall celebration, which has drawn crowds of more than 10,000 visitors, will include more than 125 craft booths, pioneer and Victorian craft demonstrations, sugar cane grinding, live entertainment, face painting and food. Antique cars will be on display at the Heritage Mercantile Store and visitors can tour the Village's historic structures.

New for 2005, visitors will enjoy musical performances in the recently restored Williams Park Bandstand and enjoy a new outdoor interpretive sign exhibit. Each sign tells the visual story of one of the Village's 28 historical structures, as well as information about occupants, a map detailing its original location in the county, architectural details and cool facts associated with the structure.

An expansive flea market and book sale will sell treasures at bargain prices.

The Country Jubilee is the Historical Society's largest fundraiser, and all proceeds benefit Heritage Village. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. Pinellas County Government, the Pinellas County Historical Society and the St. Petersburg Times sponsor the 28th annual Country Jubilee.

Parking will be available on 119th Street, between Ulmerton and Walsingham in Largo with free shuttle service to the festival entrance.

Call 582-2123.

Heritage Village, operated by Pinellas County government, is a 21-acre living history museum located at Pinewood Cultural Park, also home to the Extension Service, the Florida Botanical Gardens and the Gulf Coast Museum of Art.
