ST. PETERSBURG – The 21st annual Tampa Bay Times Festival of Reading is Saturday, Oct. 26, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, 140 Seventh Ave. S.
This free festival is a celebration of literacy featuring nationally renowned authors, book signings, panel discussions and a variety of entertainment. The USF St. Petersburg campus is located in downtown St. Petersburg, and attendees may utilize campus and downtown parking, giving easy access to all events throughout the day.
The Times Festival of Reading has drawn an annual attendance of approximately 5,000 book lovers through the course of its history. More than 40 authors are confirmed to appear at the 2013 festival.
Featured authors include bestsellers such as Gilbert King, Edwidge Danticat, David Finkel, Marcia Clark, Ridley Pearson and Jayne Anne Phillips. In addition to the author appearances, there will be an extensive Book Market featuring local merchants and entertainment, plus food and drink concessions.
