LARGO – A country western jamboree will be presented Nov. 8-11 at First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks, 12685 Ulmerton Road.
Mark Lowry of the Gaither Homecoming Network will headline a weekend of carnival rides and great Southern Gospel entertainment.
The jamboree is Indian Rocks’ fall festival. Entertainment this year will feature regular guests of the Gaither Homecoming Network, including Lowry, as well as great local food vendors, and the church’s famous corn fritters.
The fun will kick off Thursday, Nov. 8, 3 p.m., with the opening of the carnival, food tent, and Chris Christian Bookstore’s annual Jamboree Sidewalk Sale. This year the food tent will again feature food from local vendors including the First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks Food Service Team, Road Trip Café, The Smokin’ Rib Shack, Sardo’s Pizza, Mookie’s Kettle Korn, and I Love Cupcakes.
The entertainment will start Friday night, Nov. 9, 7 to 8:30 p.m., with Indian Rock’s own Southern Gospel group God’s Country performing a free concert full of classic songs and hymns that are sure to get your boots tapping.
On Saturday, Nov. 10, the first annual Christmas Market opens in the church worship center featuring a vast array of one-of-a-kind gifts. Later that night, multi-Dove award winning and Grammy nominated Gospel trio The Martins will take the stage with their own contemporary twist on Southern Gospel classics.
On Sunday, Nov. 11, Lowry – comedian, story-teller, songwriter and singer – will be performing live in the Worship Center at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Charis Christian Bookstore on the campus of First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks or online at www.indianrocks.org.
