Al Pacino stars in TriStar Pictures thriller “88 Minutes.”
PINELLAS COUNTY – A number of new movie releases will hit theaters on April 18, including the following:
“The Forbidden Kingdom” – Lionsgate is set to release “The Forbidden Kingdom,” starring Jet Li and Jackie Chan. Directed by Robert Minkoff, the film marks the first on-screen pairing of two martial arts superstars and features the awe-inspiring action choreography of Woo-Ping Yuen.
While hunting down bootleg kung-fu DVDs in a Chinatown pawnshop, Jason Tripitikas (Michael Angarano) makes a discovery that sends him hurtling back in time to ancient China.
There, he is charged with a monumental task: He must free the fabled warrior the Monkey King, who has been imprisoned by the powerful Jade Warlord. Jason is joined in his quest by wise kung fu master Lu Yan (Jackie Chan) and a band of misfit warriors including Silent Monk (Jet Li). But only by learning the true precepts of kung fu can Jason hope to succeed – and find a way to get back home. Rated PG-13.

Al Pacino stars as Dr. Jack Gramm, a college professor who moonlights as a forensic psychiatrist for the FBI. When Gramm receives a death threat claiming he has only 88 minutes to live, he must use all his skills and training to narrow down the possible suspects, who include a disgruntled student, a jilted former lover, and a serial killer who is already on death row, before his time runs out. Directed by Jon Avnet, the film also stars Alicia Witt, Leelee Sobieski and Amy Brenneman. Rated R.
“Forgetting Sarah Marshall” – Universal Pictures will present this adult comedy that offers an amusing look at the aftermath of a devastating breakup. After TV sitcom star Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell) dumps Peter (Jason Segal), he heads to Hawaii for a vacation in hopes that the distraction will help him forget every detail of his relationship.
Unfortunately, Sarah and her new boyfriend happen to be vacationing at the same resort as Peter. Rated R.
