SEMINOLE – “Smokey Joe’s Café,” the longest running musical review in the history of Broadway, will unleash its high-energy production on the Seminole Mall, Monday, Jan. 16, 7 p.m.
Included in one show are all-time favorites “Jailhouse Rock,” “Kansas City,” “Stand By Me,” and “Hound Dog.”
Nominated for four Tony Awards, this incredible production opened on Broadway in 1995 to standing ovations. “Smokey Joe’s Café” features more than 40 chart topping hits by the famous pop music writing duo, Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller.
The contents of the show are songs originally performed by the legends of rock ’n’ roll, namely The Coasters, The Drifters, Elvis, The Isley Brothers, Ben E. King, and Peggy Lee, all of which defined the music of the ’50s and ’60s.
Be on hand as a cast of 14 prepares for its Florida Tour in a free dress rehearsal, paying tribute to one of Broadway’s best.
