ST. PETERSBURG – Guided walking tours of historic St. Petersburg are offered four times a month by St. Petersburg Preservation Inc. volunteer historians.
Tours begin at 10 a.m. and begin at Central Café and Organics, 234 Central Ave. except for the fourth Saturday tour, which begins at the Craftsman House, 2955 Central Ave.
First Saturday tour is “the Original.” Second Saturday take a tour of the “waterfront.” Third Saturday walk “North by old NE.” Fourth Saturday takes participants on a tour of historic Kenwood.
St. Petersburg Preservation, Inc. volunteer historians lead tours of unique areas of Downtown St. Petersburg’s Historic District. See architectural treasures, grand hotels, stately churches, National award winning neighborhoods and learn about civic visionaries who transformed our working waterfront into one of the largest park systems in the country.
Tours are free and open to the public, but a $5 donation is appreciated if not a member. Group and children’s tours are available by contacting St. Petersburg Preservation at info@stpetepreservation.org.
