PINELLAS PARK – Gil Perlroth’s new musical spoof “Ain’t Food Wonderful!” debuts Friday, Feb. 7, at Venue Theatre and Actors Studio, 9125 U.S. 19 N.
The production will run through Feb. 23. Performances are Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m.; and Sunday, 2:30 p.m.
Daniel Harris directs the world premiere of Perlroth’s musical. Starring in the production are Mike Arnold, Ben Taylor, Susan Taylor, and Nancy Wright.
The show includes everything related to people’s food experiences: restaurant dining, holiday feasts, dieting, the organic food rage, pregnancy cravings, and fast food emporiums.
The show features new songs such as “Who Doesn't Like Chinese?,” “A Bag Boy at Publix,” “Nothing like a Jewish Deli,” “Cellulite Blues” and “Hooter Guys.”
