ST. PETERSBURG – Grand Central District’s Chili Cookoff and Street Festival is Saturday, Feb. 18, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on the 2400 to 2600 blocks of Central Avenue in St. Petersburg.
In a first for the Grand Central District’s Chili Cookoff and Street Festival, entertainment will be provided on two stages.
Performing bands for the event, which benefits both the Grand Central District Association and St Pete’s HOT (Helping Our Troops), will include Talk to Mark, Ed Carter Acoustic Live and Hari-Kari Band. Also, Elite Media Entertainment Presents: The Black Roses, The Wrenchers, The Barrett Jockers Band, and Noah Broe & Groove Company.
In addition to event sponsors Tyrone Mazda, Your Neighborhood Realty and St. Pete Pride, the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority signed on as a strong advertising partner. Promotional banners for the event can be found on the backs of five Central Avenue Trolleys, in addition to the inclusion of rack cards placed inside the trolleys.
Chili Tasting tickets for the Grand Central District’s seventh annual Chili Cookoff and Street Festival are are $15 in advance at www.grandcentraldistrict.org, or $20 on the day of the event.
In addition to the chili competition, arts and craft vendors, live entertainment, and other food vendors, the event will also offer the sale of beer and wine.
