Jim Breuer brings his 20 years of stand-up experience to The Palladium, Sunday, Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m.
ST. PETERSBURG – Jim Breuer, a top entertainer with an off-the-wall humor and lovable personality, brings his 20 years of stand-up experience to The Palladium, Sunday, Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

Breuer is one of the most recognizable comedians in the business, best known for charismatic stage antics, dead-on impressions and family-friendly stand-up.

He was a cast member on Saturday Night Live (SNL) for four years and co-starred in the 1998 comedy Half Baked with Dave Chappelle.

Breuer knew he wanted to be a stand-up comic since his high school days and, after spending several years working across the country, settled in as a regular on the New York comedy club circuit. He quickly landed a gig on the Uptown Comedy Club nationally syndicated show and later appeared on ABC’s Home Improvement with Tim Allen.

His big break happened in 1995 when he joined SNL. During his four years there, he became a fan-favorite for his original character “Goat Boy” and his dead-on impressions of actor Joe Pesci.

Breuer moved to the big screen, appearing in films Half Baked, Zookeeper, Dick, Titan A.E. and Beer League and on the smaller one, hosted MTV’s Beach House, and VH1’s Web Junk 20.

Other television appearances include Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon and The Marriage Rep.

In 2008, Breuer, his 85-year-old father and a film crew went on a trip to chronicle their life on the road. This showcase became the documentary, More than Me, which was shown at the 2009 Montreal Film Festival. He wrote his acclaimed autobiography, I’m Not High: (But I’ve Got a Lot of Crazy Stories about Life as a Goat Boy, a Dad, and a Spiritual Warrior) in 2011.

Most recently, Breuer’s latest one-hour comedy special, And Laughter for All, premiered on Epix and will be released on DVD this fall.

Tickets are $29, $39 and $49 and available online at www.mypalladium.org, by phone at 727-822-3590 or at The Palladium Theater Box Office, 253 Fifth Ave. N, St. Petersburg from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.

The show is presented by Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts Inc.
