ST. PETERSBURG – Due to popular demand, American Stage added another week of performances to the Tampa Bay area premiere of Jed Feuer and Boyd Graham’s new hit musical "The Big Bang," April 4 to 9. Contains mature language.

"Before opening night, we already had sold well over 70 percent of our tickets for the entire run," Todd Olson, American Stage's producing artistic director.

"The Big Bang" follows two budding off-Broadway writers as they perform highlights of their impending extravaganza, an epic musical that spans the history of the world from the big bang to the present for potential backers – played by the audience.

The hilarious musical features features Candler Budd and Matthew McGee, two new actors to the American Stage family and includes 18 side-splitting musical numbers, singing, dancing, narrating and portrayals of every major figure in world history, including Adam and Eve, the Virgin Mary, Plato, Napoleon, Caesar, Attila the Hun, Columbus, Pocahontas, Mrs. Gandhi and Cher, to name a few.
