Children with The Tarpon Operetta Company rehearse Cinderella, A Folk Tune Operetta.
TARPON SPRINGS - Cinderella, A Folk Tune Operetta, will be performed by children, Saturday, July 12, 19, 2 p.m., at Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 S. Pinellas Ave., Tarpon Springs.
Music and lyrics by Katherine K. Davis, presented by the Tarpon Operetta Company for Children, directed by Jamie Bierchen, music direction is Constantine Grame.
Admission is $10, $5 members and students.
The beloved fairytale was composed for young children by Katherine K. Davis in 1931. The timeless story is performed as a 30-minute operetta. With beautiful hand-drawn scenery and lovely costumes, the young actors will transport you with their talent.

Originally started in 1989 by the late Theodore Grame, a Yale music professor who resided in Tarpon Springs for over 30 years, the company has been revived in his honor by his son 25 years later. Cinderella was its first production then and now.
