ST. PETERSBURG - freeFall’s Tandem Series returns with a series of concerts and shows each weekend in July. These shows are special events and will take place in freeFall’s large auditorium. Admission is affordable and freeFall’s bar will be open.
On Saturday, July 12, freeFall welcome The Delicious Beats with their hit oldies spectacular, Rock 'n' Soul a Go Go. The Delicious Beats are joined by special guests Act III for a rockin' evening celebrating the sights and sounds of the 60s. Rock 'n' Soul a Go Go is not your average oldies show. This exciting multi-media extravaganza is a trip down memory lane that relives all the great moments and music from the Swingin' Sixties. Rock 'n' Soul a Go Go plays one night only. Show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10.
Come enjoy an evening of Music Theatre and Opera as freeFall’s administrative intern, Ryan James Monroe, capstones his summer internship by taking the stage in his one man cabaret, Ryan James Monroe: I Don’t Make Coffee… This unique cabaret will feature a wide range of music, all the way from Mozart to Jason Robert Brown. This show serves as a fundraiser for Monroe who will be studying Opera in Florence, Italy with Elon University in the fall. Ryan James Monroe: I Don’t Make Coffee… plays one night only at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 19. Tickets are $20.
“St. Pete’s Steve and Eydie” are back with peforming favorite standards and the sounds of 2014 on Friday, July 25. Join jazz chanteuse Sara DelBeato and crooner/pianist Michael Raabe as they interpret everything from Sondheim to ZZ Top all with their retro-tastic spin. Joined by Tito Vallejo on bass and Burt Rushing on drums, these hepcats present a musical journey to swell and back. Retrotastic! plays one night only at 8 p.m. Tickets are only $15.
