American Stage extends 'Three Days of Rain to Oct. 8
Article published on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006 |
ST. PETERSBURG - American Stage extended the run of its season opener, the current Broadway hit, "Three Days of Rain," through Oct. 8. A Progress Energy "Pay What You Can" night has been added on Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
Brought together for the reading of a will, three young adults - sister, brother, long-time friend - unwittingly replay their parents' tangled relationships. The themes of love, friendship, ambition and betrayal expand exponentially in Act Two, when the same actors play youthful versions of their parents - business partners with a history that no one could ever have known. The show contains some mature language.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday curtain is at 7:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday curtain is at 8 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday matinee curtain is at 3 p.m.
Tickets prices are $22-$35 depending on date and time of performance. Students Rush tickets are $10, 30 minutes before curtain time.
For tickets or information, call 823-PLAY or visit www.americanstage.org.
American Stage is at 211 Third St. S.
