CLEARWATER - Giggles and grins will be the goal of the two comedian headliners scheduled at Ruth Eckerd Hall this October.
Show organizers promise that people who come to see Kathy Griffin on Thursday, Oct. 12, 8 p.m., will leave with their sides hurting.
Having spent the last decade on television making people laugh as the acerbic sidekick on "Suddenly Susan" and star of Bravo's "My Life on the D-List," Griffin is back on the road with a brand new show of stand-up comedy.
She has more stories, more dish, more of what she shouldn't say but knows people want to hear. Her show contains adult language and content. Griffin gained popularity as a comedian on HBO back in the 1980s.
Tickets are $30, $35 and $50.
Comedy legend Jon Lovitz is making his first-ever appearance at Ruth Eckerd Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 8 p.m.
Lovitz will present his "Hawaiian Beach Party" show, featuring adult comedy, music and other attractions in a fun, tropical setting.
Lovitz is perhaps best known for his years on "Saturday Night Live," 1985 to 1990, and his character "Tommy Flanagan, The Pathological Liar."
He's also known for his parts on "NewsRadio" and "The Critic." His film career includes roles in "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "Ratboy," "Big," "Coneheads," "The Stepford Wives," "The Benchwarmers" and more.
He is currently the spokesman for Subway restaurants.
Tickets are $34, or $50 limited VIP seating. For tickets, call 791-7400 or visit www.rutheckerdhall.com.
Ruth Eckerd Hall is at 1111 N. McMullen Booth Road.
