Venue Ensemble Theatre presents Painting Churches by Tina Howe, Oct. 26 through Nov. 11.
PINELLAS PARK - Venue Ensemble Theatre was set to present Painting Churches by Tina Howe, Oct. 26 through Nov. 11; however, on Oct. 23, the show was canceled.
Life Happens, says one of the show's stars Mary Kay Cyrus.
"When a cast member in a three person ensemble piece has to have an emergency appendectomy just a few days prior to opening, unfortunately the show can not go on," Cyrus said in a press release announcing the cancellation. "Additionally, prior commitments and scheduling conflicts at this time don't allow us to delay the opening until later this season. The cast and crew were ready to bring this wonderful play to life for you and regret that you will not be able to experience life with the Church family. For a line- up of other scheduled shows throughout the 2012-2013 season, please visit the Venue Theatre website at www.venueactorstudio.com. Thank you for your patronage."
Painting Churches portrays the dynamics of the Church family through the eyes of their artist daughter. Her struggle to paint a portrait of her parents allows us to experience the heartwarming and touching eccentricities of family and a child’s recognition of life and aging.
This Venue Ensemble Theatre production stars Mary Kay Cyrus, Amanda Miles and Ron Zietz under the direction of Nicholas G. Rinaldi.
