ST. PETERSBURG - Comedian and impressionist Frank Caliendo, best known for his work on Fox’s MADtv and Fox NFL Sunday, will bring his many characters and voices to life on The Mahaffey Theater stage Thursday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m.
Caliendo has chatted it up with the hosts of late night television: Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel and Conan and is famed for “channeling” Charles Barkley, NFL color commentator John Madden, comedian Robin Williams, actor William Shatner and Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. His high energy act is a blend of observations, impressions, characters and anecdotal stories that start at a frenetic pace and never let up.
Sports fans relate to the man from his current segments on ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown or his decade-long run on Fox NFL Sunday opposite Terry Bradshaw.
Caliendo has performed as many as 120 impressions and released six solo CDs. Described by the Hollywood Reporter as “a combination of Robin Williams and Jim Carrey,” Caliendo performed regularly at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas for two years from 2009-2011.
This man-of-many-voices is a comedian not to miss. You won’t know who will turn up!
