CLEARWATER - West Coast Players will hold auditions for the The Red Velvet Cake War Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 19-20, 7 p.m., at West Coast Players Theatre, 21905 U.S. 19 N., Clearwater.
This is the riotously funny Southern-fried comedy written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten.
The three Verdeen cousins Gaynelle, Peaches and Jimmie could not have picked a worse time to throw their family reunion. Their outrageous antics have raised eyebrows and delighted gossips in the small town of Sweetgum Texas. Toss in their self righteous Aunt LaMerle and a host of hilarious characters and you have a wildly funny and hilarious play.
Ashlie Johnson is directing and seeking sevem women and three men. The age ranges are late 20s and up. A Southern accent is required. Some of the actors may play more than one role.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
Performance dates are Jan. 18 through Feb. 3, 2013.
