ST. PETERSBURG - The St. Petersburg Ballet Company will present four full-length performances of the Nutcracker at the Palladium Theater beginning Monday, Nov. 21.
A 10 a.m. performance is scheduled for school children followed by an evening performance at 7:30 for general audiences. On Tuesday, Nov. 22nd, a matinee will be performed at 2 p.m. and an evening performance at 7:30.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and children. Tickets are available at the Palladium Box Office, 822-3590 or at www.palladiumtheater.com. Reservations for school groups may be made by calling the Academy of Ballet Arts at 327-4401.
The production will feature Victoria Statzer as Clara, who, at age 11, was chosen to perform in the New York City Youth America Grand Prix
International Ballet Competition finals this past April.
The roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier will be danced by Amanda Skolbel-Tenewitz, Calvin Royal, Elizabeth Croy and Austin Finley. All four of the young artists have been accepted in summer programs at nationally renowned professional ballet schools. Suzanne Pomerantzeff and Sean Musselman will dance the role of the Stahlbaums.
