ST. PETERSBURG - Dixie Hollins High School Theatrical Company presents An Evening of Entertainment including the one act plays, “Shake, Rattle, and Rot” by Leslie Caulfield and “Maids Made Men” by Jeff Goode on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 4-5, 7 p.m.
Tickets, available at the door, are $5 and children under 12 who bring a non-perishable food item will be admitted free.
“Shake, Rattle, and Rot” is a 50’s style musical with dancing zombies. “Maids Made Men” is a 17th century dueling comedy of girls who need to disguise as boys who know they are girls but think each other is a boy. There will also be some musical numbers and other scenes to complete the evening.
The Dixie Hollins drama group has been selected for the second time to attend the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland in August 2009 by the American High School Theatre Festival. They are one of 64 schools selected from over 1,600 applications to represent the United States. The group is available to entertain your holiday parties for donations.
