Largo Cultural Center gears up for December shows
Article published on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007
LARGO – The Largo Cultural Center has scheduled several performances to please audiences through the month of December. Following is a list of shows planned for the month.

Santa’s Holiday Revue

Celebrate the holidays with Santa’s Holiday Revue, produced by Stages Productions, on Saturday, Dec. 15, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Back by popular demand, Santa’s Holiday Revue is a fast-paced, rollicking musical that takes a joyous around-the-world tour of the dances, songs and stories from Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and other holidays.

This jubilee will create a memorable and heartwarming experience that celebrates the true spirit of cultural diversity.

Tickets are $7 adults, $5 children and $20 for a family four-pack.

‘Sister’s Christmas Catechism’

The Largo Cultural Center will present the “Sister’s Christmas Catechism: The Mystery of the Magi’s Gold” on Friday, Dec. 21, 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 22, 2 and 8 p.m.

Written by Maripat Donovan with Jane Morris and Marc Silvia, “Sister’s Christmas Catechism” is a sinfully funny alternative to traditional holiday fare. It’s CSI goes to Bethlehem as Sister hunts under manger and over camel humps in her relentless search for the Magi’s gold. Along the way, she gives her class (the audience) a history lesson on the origin of nativity sets, provides a line-by-line analysis of favorite Christmas carols, directs a living nativity and offers up the best of seasonal customs.

Tickets are $29 for adults, $25 for seniors 60 and over, and $15 for students 19 and under. VIP passes are $32 and the group rate is $25.

The Largo Cultural Center is at 105 Central Park Drive. Call 587-6793 or visit www.largoarts.com.
