ST. PETERSBURG – The St. Petersburg Sail and Power Squadron presents Mariner’s Compass Wednesday, Jan. 23, 7 to 9 p.m., at the St. Petersburg Sailing Center, 250 Second Ave. SE.
The two-hour class is available to anyone 12 and older. The seminar explains how to select, install, calibrate and use a boat compass. It explains how to deal with variation between true and magnetic north and how to adjust a compass to remove most of the deviation caused by local magnetic influences.
