LARGO – The second annual Eagle Lake Classic 5K Run and Walk will take place on Sunday, March 10, 9 a.m., at Eagle Lake Park, 1800 Keene Road.
“What differentiates the Eagle Lake Classic from other 5K runs and walks in the area, is that the course is a mostly paved trail through this beautiful park in mid-Pinellas County,” said Polly Kraus, race director. “We invite the entire community to participate in this family friendly event. It is chip timed, something important to our runners, but also we encourage everyone to come out and walk. We originally started this event to promote healthy living and we urge families and folks of all ages to come out and participate.”
The first 500 registered runners will receive a T-shirt. Awards will be given 3-deep by age group and everyone is invited to a post-race breakfast.
Registration is open at www.eaglelakeclassic.com. Cost is $25 for adults and $20 ages 18 and younger. Limited registration will be available day of the race beginning at 8 a.m. at Eagle Lake Park. Cost will be $30.
