Belleair Rokkball Rokkball is a one-hour workout composed of fast-paced drills that focus on core skills and stamina. The coaches reinforce positive attitudes to encourage growth and development. Each drill is done to its own classic rock ’n’ roll song to keep the energy moving. This program, offered by the Belleair Parks and Recreation Department, is designed for all skill levels: the experienced baseball player or someone who has never even picked up a ball. President’s day camp The Belleair Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Presidents’ Day camp for children ages 6-12. The event will be held Monday, Feb. 18, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a day filled with sports, games, arts and crafts and fun. The camp fee is $30 for members and $45 for nonmembers for a full day. Belleair Sunset 5K, Fun Run planned BELLEAIR – The town’s Parks and Recreation Department and Title Sponsor, Dex Imaging, will have the 11th Annual Belleair Sunset 5K and Fun Run Saturday, Feb. 16. The 5K starts at 5:30 p.m. and the Fun Run at 5:45 p.m. Following the run, a post race party will be held with live music by the Hot Rod Hornets and complimentary food and drinks will be available. Spring basketball league BELLEAIR – The Belleair Parks and Recreation Department is offering a spring youth basketball league for ages 5-17. This recreational league is designed to teach and enhance basketball knowledge and skills in a fun atmosphere. Games are played on Saturdays and practices are held once a week for an hour. Evaluations will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9. The 10-week season will start on Monday, Feb. 25, and conclude on Saturday, May 11. League fee for members is $75 and $90 for nonmembers.
