Fish Earth Day set for April 12 TARPON SPRINGS – Fish Earth Day will be Saturday, April 12, 9 to 11 a.m., at Craig Park at Spring Bayou, 100 Beekman Lane. Fish Earth Day is a free Hook Kids on Fishing program for kids aged 6 to 16. Parental supervision is required. Clinics will start at 9 a.m. Clinics will be presented on casting, conservation, fishing safety, knot tying, catch and release tactics and will be taught by professional fishing guides and knowledgeable anglers. Kids fishing derby set at Merry Pier ST. PETE BEACH – A kids fishing derby that benefits All Children’s Hospital is planned Sunday, April 13, 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Merry Pier in Pass-A-Grille. The event is opens to kids ages 12 and younger. The fee is $5. Bring your own pole or use a bamboo pole. You may purchase your tickets at the St. Pete Beach Community Center or other local businesses.
